Damien Phélip, a young salt worker left the saltpans of Guérande (France) to settle in the Morbihan department (Brittany, France) to restore an old salt evaporation pond, abandoned almost 50 years ago. An economic and ecological challenge he was able to take on, thanks to the support and help of the Guérande salt workers.
In the 70s and 80s, a Guérande salt workers’ “resistance” movement took place. They wanted to regain and fight for the conservation of the coastline.
It is within this context that we can understand this very personal as well as collective adventure.
